Since we first opened our doors in 2008, we have partnered with 31 nonprofit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area to to guide their 60 direct service and supportive housing facilities towards sustainability. Annually, these nonprofits will collectively:
- Conserve 4.7 million gallons of water = enough water to fill 52,000 bathtubs
- Divert 429,000 pounds of waste = enough waste to fill more than 31 garbage trucks
- Reduce 157,000 kWh in electricity = carbon emission from 12,000 gallons of gasoline consumed
- Lower 77,000 therms of natural gas = annual greenhouse gas emissions from 75 passenger vehicles
- Save $469,000 in their first year with continued savings each year!
