How We Green
Our Green Start program helps nonprofits transform into environmentally and in turn, financially sustainable organizations. Leveraging our expertise and key partnerships, Connect the Dots teams with a nonprofit's leadership to develop and implement fundamental green operating practices that will reduce their environmental impact while helping their bottom line for years to come.
Green Start Program Plan
Connect the Dots partners with organizations to implement sustainable practices during a three-phase process that typically spans 12 weeks.
- Phase 1: Measuring Your Current Footprint
Our Green Start experts work with nonprofit staff to conduct a consumption audit of your facilities and programs to identify opportunities to conserve energy and water usage, to better manage and divert waste from landfills and to partner with environmentally conscious suppliers. - Phase 2: Sustainability Boot Camp
We help implement the Green Start recommendations. We leverage partnerships with incentive and rebate programs, allowing non-profits to tap into the low-cost and reliable resources that are already in place. We conduct on-site presentations to help teach the nonprofit’s clients and staff about green practices and how they can join the effort. - Phase 3: Handing Over the Keys to Staying Green
To promote ongoing success, we provide the nonprofit with a sustainability toolkit which includes: summary report, an environmental policy, planning guidelines, tracking and projection tools.
